Happy Friday Everyone! You've worked hard all week, and now it's time to have fun! Getting out and enjoying the beautiful Bay Area, as well as enjoying the company of friends old and new, is great for your mental health. Roller skating at the Church of 8 Wheels

The Church of 8 Wheels, San Francisco

Fridays are always a great time to go roller skating. This is the 4th session where anyone 18 and older can come in and get their skate groove on!!! Please skate safely. All participants must please follow the direction of the rink personnel.

Skate Rental are available for $5.00, but not included with the purchase of your ticket.

NO REFUNDS!!! Attendees are NOT allowed to transfer their registration between this event and another event. Be sure you are selecting the proper date and time you want to skate.

Oakland Pride Block Party

Start your Oakland Pride weekend with WE RUN THIS!!!, a community-led block party benefiting Oaklash! With a focus on uplifting our local community members, this event will bring together a slew of queer performers, DJs, and business owners, for an unforgettable night of connection and dancing. Oakland is a special place, and we are excited to show off all the incredible people who make us proud to live here.

Oaklash is the Bay Area's drag and queer performing arts non-profit. Since 2018, Oaklash's annual festival connects drag performers across the bay and the world for a weekend celebrating queer art in all its beautiful forms. As we expand our work into year-round programming, we are connecting with various community partners to create community events to connect people and raise funds for Oaklash's work. All proceeds from this event will go towards Oaklash's year-round programming, including our small grants fund for chronically ill and disabled performers and the Oaklash Skills for Nightlife Accelerator Program (O-SNAP!).

Union Square In Bloom Summer Music Series

Every Saturday, from July through mid-October from 1pm - 4pm, and beginning in August, every 3rd Thursday, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm, Union Square Plaza will come alive with the sounds of talented local artists, celebrating the rich musical heritage of this iconic city. San Francisco, renowned as a music destination and the birthplace of legendary musicians and groups such as the Grateful Dead, Metallica, Janis Joplin, and Carlos Santana, sets the stage for an extraordinary lineup of performances.

Prepare to be amazed by a diverse range of musical genres, featuring local songwriters, solo musicians, up-and-coming stars, energizing EDM and Dance DJ sets, soulful jazz renditions, and captivating Latin rhythms. The launch event will feature DJ Sep and Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers, with future collaborations lined up with esteemed indoor entertainment venues such as Biscuits & Blues and American Conservatory Theatre (ACT).

As you indulge in a weekend of friends, food, and music, Union Square Plaza offers a vibrant setting for your enjoyment. Delight in delicious offerings from food trucks and experience the lively atmosphere of our Beer, Wine and Spirit Garden during certain concerts (see website for dates). Collaborating with local floral designers, more than 30 of Union Square's hotels, theaters, restaurants, bars, and retail establishments have adorned their storefronts with breathtaking floral arrangements, creating a gateway to discovery for all. For the 21+ audience, we have an exclusive treat in store. Meet the Bloom + Bubbles Passport, a district-wide cocktail program that presents a selection of 29 enticing floral cocktails available at Union Square hotels, restaurants, and bars. On July 29th, after the free 1 pm to 4 pm concert, from 5 pm to 9 pm, we invite you to join us for a district-wide Bloom & Bubbles Bar Crawl. World Arts West Dance Festival

Presidio Tunnel Tops, San Francisco

The World Arts West Dance Festival returns to the Presidio Sunday, September 10th! World Arts West will bring to the stage dances from around the world that reflect cultural and aesthetic values, wisdom and beauty, and the transmutation of survival to joy.

Join us for a FREE day of performances in the park to celebrate diverse communities through the art of dance. Enjoy fun interactive demos with festival artists, and grab a bite at one of the Presidio Pop Up’s yummy multicultural food trucks!

This year’s artists include Calpulli Tonalehqueh, Diamano Coura West African Dance Company, Melissa Cruz Flamenco, Mona Khan Company, Nicaragua Dance Ensemble, Ruth Asawa SF School of the Arts, Te Pura O Te Rahura'a, Winnie Wong, and Ilê Aiyê !
