Happy November! As we approach the end of the year and look at Spooky Season through the rear view mirror, we get to look forward to other holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, and more . We also get to look forward to the season of giving! There is no better way to end the year than by giving back to your community.
Below are a few easy ways that you can make a difference by giving back to your community this holiday season
Purge your closet and donate warm clothing and items such as blankets, jackets, pants, beanies, and gloves to a local shelter.
Volunteer to local soup kitchens to help feed the houseless. There’s many throughout San Francisco but a couple of our favorites are Martin de Porres House of Hospitality and San Francisco - Marin Food Bank.
Gift toys to a charity and toy drives for children who may be experience and lesser fortunate holiday season this year. San Francisco Fire Fighters Union puts on a toy drive every year.
