Pier 39 is rolling it back to the year they opened – 1978 – with a free ’70s Roller Disco Party.
Head to The Pier for an evening of fun, music, and roller-skating in the Pier 39 Entrance Plaza from 4-10 pm. Bring your own roller skates or rent a pair for free.
Update: Pre-registration has reached capacity. Limited day-of registration may be available based on actual event attendance. It’s recommended arriving one hour or more prior to desired skate time.
Please present the registration confirmation at the check-in tent to receive your wristband.
Check-in is open on September 8 from 3-8 pm or until capacity is reached.

22nd Annual Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival

The Bay Area’s biggest Labor Day weekend event, the 47th Annual Millbrae Art & Wine Festival transforms downtown Millbrae into the “Big Easy.”
This free Mardi Gras-style celebration features two sun-splashed days of live music on stage and street throughout downtown.
The dynamite music lineup includes Zepparella, East Bay Mudd, Boombox, Cisco Kid – War Tribute, Sang Matiz, Lumberyard, Loudin’ Cleer, John Clarke, Bob Culbertson and HeartStrings Music.
Check out a juried show with 250 professional artists and craftmakers showing their latest handcrafted wares, festive food and drink, premium wines, microbrews and margaritas, artisan specialty food, a microbrew tasting tent, an organic and green products showcase, home and garden exhibits, health and wellness displays and the “Classically Cool Car Show.”
Plus there’s tons of fun for kids with the Streets Filled With Talent Music & Dance Showcase plus an ultra thrilling zip-line, wild and wacky roll-on-water Waterballerz, carnival-style rides, and an abundance of amazing amusements in Playland.

Enjoy gawking at over 200 American and European cars ranging from the 1920s, to the classics of the ’50s and ’60s, as well as modern exotics at the 13th annual Orinda Classic Car Show from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, September 9, 2017.
At 1 pm, there will be a visit of vintage and modern Ferraris – including a 1965 275 GTB Competition – driving into the middle of the show.
The event is free, but those who make a donation of $10 will have an opportunity to ride in one of the cars during the “Drive” at the close of the show.
Kids and grown-ups alike, it’s an event for the whole family to enjoy. Come join in the fun and witness vintage and modern exotic cars and motorcycles, food, music and more.

Oakland Pride Parade & Festival

Oakland kicks off their annual Pride celebration with a Pride Parade at 10:30 am. The celebration continues in Uptown Oakland for the Pride Festival from 11 am to 7 pm.
The Pride Parade starts at Broadway & 14th Street (Oakland City Hall) and ends at Broadway & 20th Street at the Oakland Pride Festival Main Entrance.
This year, Oakland Pride welcomes Grammy nominated R&B vocalist Andra Day (‘Rise Up’) who will perform with her full live band. Joining Andra Day on the Main Stage this year is the incredible Alex Newell from the hit series Glee plus Frenchie Davis (American Idol, Rent, The Voice) who is just returning from another run on Broadway in ‘The View Upstairs.’ Jane Wiedlin (GoGo’s) & Peter Straccia introduce their new band Elettrodomestico. Additionally, local sensation Princetonation returns to the stage, plus the men of SWAG, The Drag Queens of the East Bay and so much more.
Also Oakland Pride is delighted to welcome the hilarious and talented Latrice Royale (RuPaul’s Drag Race) who will be onstage to keep us all guessing.

Getting There Use the FREE shuttle: The PresidiGo operates a route from downtown San Francisco to the Presidio and two routes within the park.

The Around the Park routes run two-continuous loops within the Presidio. Both routes originate at the Presidio Transit Center and connect with MUNI and Golden Gate Transit at several locations. > Maps & Departures
