Calling all CHEESE lovers! We’re “Melting Together” for the Third Annual SF Cheese Fest, which will celebrate the gratifying warmth of bringing folks together to share the cheesy richness of artisan cheeses and the people who create them. Mingle with 24 Guild-member cheesemakers from across the state, sampling dozens of new and classic California cheeses.
Joining us will be pioneering producers like Cowgirl Creamery, Point Reyes Farmstead, Laura Chenel’s and Marin French, and newer producers like William Cofield Cheesemakers, Moonside Creamery , and Stepladder Creamery, among others. The Cheese School of San Franciso, Mission Cheese/Maker’s Common, and Greenleaf will offer inspired bites, alongside samples of cured meats, pickles, jams, and chocolate, all from local makers. Wet your whistle with libations from the Bay Area’s finest brewers, winemakers, and cidermakers. While you sip and sample, you’ll enjoy live music by SF-based colonial-indigenous-eccentric jazz quartet Rebirth Canal. All attendees will receive a free 1-year subscription to Culture Magazine.
Ticket proceeds benefit the California Artisan Cheese Guild, a statewide nonprofit dedicated to the education and support of artisan cheese making. Tickets are non refundable.

BEER LIST IS NOW LIVE — OVER 90 BREWS — brewsonthebay.org
Soak up the salty air, sunshine and spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and San Francisco while enjoying local craft beer at one of the most memorable and unique festivals in the country.
BREWS ON THE BAY returns Saturday, Sept. 16, for its 14th year on the S.S. Jeremiah O’Brien, an historic World War II merchant marine ship docked at Pier 45 — and this year, more San Francisco breweries will be participating than ever.
Produced by the San Francisco Brewers Guild, this event is one of the Bay Area’s most intimate beer festivals — one the brewers themselves look forward to.
Local brewers will be out in force, serving unlimited pours of their latest and greatest IPAs, farmhouse ales, session beers, barrel-aged sours, imperial stouts, and many other beer styles, with over 70 beers set to flow.

This is our 14th year aboard the S.S. Jeremiah O’Brien, an historic landmark from the World War II Merchant Marine era ship, and appropriately, a portion of festival proceeds benefits the National Liberty Ship Memorial. This 2017 installment of Brews on the Bay will be our biggest and best yet, so we hope you can join us!
Please note: If gluten sensitive, a number of “near zero” gluten options will be available from select breweries, which will be highlighted once the beer list is released. (There will be no cider.)
“Watch sailboats glide past Alcatraz? Sample beer from dozens of San Francisco breweries? Drink locally hand-crafted ales and lagers aboard an historic American WWIII ship as you take in one of the most famous bays in the world… Who the hell wouldn’t want to do that?”
