Scaregrove 2017: Halloween Festival in the Park

Scaregrove returns to Stern Grove, on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 3 to 9 pm. An “out of this world” Halloween event, this year’s event will feature a costume contest and parade, haunted houses, hay rides, carnival rides, giant inflatables, food for sale and live entertainment.

Tickets are now available at the McLaren Lodge Annex (501 Stanyan Street in Golden Gate Park) Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, until the day of the event, or by mail until October 20 by calling (415) 831-6800.

Winner of the USA Redbull 3 Style DJ competition!

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, J Espinosa began perfecting his craft at the age of 14. In 2001, at the age of 17, he made his radio DJ debut on Wild 94.9/KYLD San Francisco, and shortly after that became the youngest DJ to hold down a full time mixshow at the time. Fast forward to today, J.Espinosa has become one of the most listened to and influential DJs that the San Francisco Bay Area has seen in quite a while.

J. Espinosa keeps the dancefloors packed, radios blaring, and ears ringing every night of the week. Any style, any genre, any club, any task is simple and by far acheivable for the fact that J Espinosa’s career has always been based on two things… QUALITY and SKILL, making him one of the most sought after and seasoned DJs to come out of the Bay Area.

He is also the official in-game DJ for San Francisco Giants and the Oakland Raiders.

The San Francisco Halloween Pub Crawl is back and it’s bigger than ever! Last year, over 5000 costumed crawlers took over Polk Street for $3 drinks, music, dancing, costume contests more! Think of it as Trick ‘r Treating….for adults. This year, we are expecting well over 5,000 participants for the biggest pub crawl in the city!

There will be Pub Crawls on Friday, October 27, Saturday, October 28 and Tuesday, October 31!

With 20 Bars on the Pub Crawl, there are a lot of cool spots to go to. Make things easier with the M Ride Pub Crawl Shuttle. We will have several shuttles going along the Pub Crawl Route and you can hop on/hop off as you please! The Buses will run from 4PM to 8PM.

HOW DOES THIS WORK? Once you check in and receive your wristband and Pub Crawl Map, you can choose your own path. There will be too many people to be on a specific schedule, so you can just follow the crowd at your own pace. Specials will be available at ALL the bars during the event times.

Now in its 22nd year, The Unity Council Día de Los Muertos Festival is a free, outdoor festival that brings over 60,000 people to the vibrant, culturally-rich Fruitvale neighborhood to enjoy world-class live music, family friendly games, rides and activities, traditional Latin American artisans, and the stunning altar artistic installations created by community members paying homage to los muertos.

Families across California join this event to experience live music, Ballet folklorico, Aztec dancers and to shop at the local artisan craft stands.

Activities includes pumpkin decorating, face painting, Halloween treats, spooky haunted carriage rides, festive games, a costume parade for kids, mystical magic shows, doggy costume parade, festive photo booth. Also, the little ones will not want to miss the return of the free pumpkin patch.
