PROXY Walk in Theater, San Francisco

6 PM, All Ages

Free

Presented by HERE FOR NOW, the FREE, Friday evening film screenings at the PROXY Walk-In Theater begin at dusk with ‘doors’ opening at 6:00 pm.

Come early to claim a good spot, enjoy some icy-cold Fort Point Beer (all proceeds support outdoor cinema at PROXY!) and wood-fired pizza by Del Popolo.

Check out our tips for enjoying movies outside at PROXY.

DARK LIGHT: SUNDANCE SHORT FILMS FROM THE MIDNIGHT COLLECTION

Presented by Sundance

The art of the midnight/cult film has been around as long as movies and has flourished at the Sundance Film Festival. Join us after dark to see weird visions and underworlds from Sundance‘s recent years of delving into the mysterious. Less about shock and more about strange characters, unseen worlds and tripping out. You may learn bad habits, or maybe it’ll just be funny, you weirdo.

2018 Halloween Extravaganza

Joe Dimaggio Playground, San Francisco

2 PM, All Ages

Free

The Friends of Joe DiMaggio Playground invite you to their 10th annual Halloween Extravaganza on Sunday, October 28, 2018.

Every year this free event has grown, and it is now anticipated as “the neighborhood event” of the season – attracting scores of local families, as well as other families from all over the City.

This year, they will have a signature in-playground Trick or Treat Street for all the kids (hooray for safe trick or treating) and back by popular demand – a real circus. Plus, they’ll have a haunted house inside the Clubhouse.

There will also be an inflatable slide for big kids, a bouncy house for little kids, a fortune teller, crafts, and music on the blacktop.
