Our famous annual Monster Drawing Rally is an incredible live drawing event and fundraiser where over 120 artists work side by side. As spectators spy on the creative process, sketches morph into full-fledged artworks – immediately available for affordable prices. All proceeds directly support Southern Exposure’s programs.
Playlist by CHHOTI MAA for drawing and dancing all night long
Kids’ activity table from 6:00 – 9:00 PM! Drop off your young artist to create their own MDR drawings – works by these up-and-comers will be available by cash donation with all proceeds going to support Napa and Sonoma County fire recovery.
Curbside food from The Slider Shack available for purchase. Special thanks to Fort Point Beer Co. for their generous beverage donation.

Bad Advice from Bad Women returns to Green Apple Books on the Park for another night of incendiary readings from some of the best women writing today. Readers include Caille Millner, Zoé Samudzi, Rahawa Haile, Laura Frost, Davey Davis and their host Charlotte Shane.
About The Writers:
Caille Millner is the author of a memoir, The Golden Road: Notes on my Gentrification, from the Penguin Press. Her short fiction and essays have been been in the Paris Review Daily and Best American Short Stories 2016. She is a weekly columnist at the San Francisco Chronicle.
Zoé Samudzi is a writer, picture-taker, and Sociology PhD student. She’s interested, more than anything, in truths: how people make them, how people understand them, how people tell & disseminate them, how they become Truths.
Rahawa Haile is an Eritrean-American writer of short stories and essays who hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2016. Find her on Twitter at @RahawaHaile.
Laura Frost is a San Francisco based writer and scholar whose work on gender, sex, literature, and art has appeared in the LA Times, Bookforum, Quartz, VICE, The Los Angeles Review of Books, the San Francisco Chronicle/Examiner, and elsewhere.
Davey Davis writes about culture, sexuality, technology, and genderqueer embodiment. Occasionally, they also write fiction. Their short story “Difficult Women” received Honorable Mention for Glimmer Train’s 2014 Short Story Award for New Writers.
Charlotte Shane is an essayist, author, and co-founder of TigerBee Press. The Guardian likened her written work to Charles Dickens, and Vice called her book Prostitute Laundry “addictive [and] intimate.” Just like an opium den.

AT&T park is transformed into a science wonderland for the concluding event of the Bay Area Science Festival, organized by UC San Francisco, – a FREE science extravaganza on Saturday November 11th, 2017 10AM-4PM. Last year, more than 30,000 people enjoyed a non-stop program chock-full of interactive exhibits, experiments, games, and shows, all meant to entertain and inspire. With more than 150 exhibits, everyone can find something that will unleash their inner scientist.

Experience over 150 hands-on exhibits and activities from leading science and technology organizations from across the Bay Area. Universities, science museums, research labs, after school organizations, and local companies join forces for an unprecedented opportunity to meet scientists and engineers. Topics include health & medicine, engineering, technology, biotechnology, climate science, and so much more. This year, every exhibit will be framed as investigative questions to encourage explorations and curiosity that we hope will continue throughout the school year.

ROBOT ZOO
AT&T Park will be overrun by robots of all shapes and sizes. Interact with High School robotics teams, startup companies, and cutting edge research robots.
Parking/Transportation We encourage everyone to take BART or public transportation to the event as we expect big crowds. AT&T Park is also accessible by MUNI and CalTrain. For more information on public transportation options to the ballpark, check out AT&T Park’s transit page.
Bike Parking will be provided by the SF Bike Coalition.
Limited parking will be available in Lot A for $15/vehicle.

Double Fine Productions and iam8bit are teaming up for the 5th Annual Day of the Devs, a gaming festival that brings together the gaming community to celebrate the indie games that inspire and delight fans of all ages.
This year the free festival features several games that will be playable for the first time, including Knights and Bikes, Moblets, and Yooka Laylee, among other new and unreleased indie titles, as well as food trucks, art exhibits and live music sets by Baiyon, Jim Guthrie, Darren Korb, Ben Prunty, and Slime Girls.

With more than 40 vendors, the Jack London Square Farmers Market offers local produce, food craft products, and breakfast and lunch options.
The Jack London Square Farmers Market is operated by CUESA at Oakland’s Jack London Square on Sundays from 9 am to 2 pm, year round, rain or shine. Founded in 1989, the Jack London Square Farmers Market has deep roots in Oakland, providing a vibrant waterfront marketplace of local farms, food crafters, and restaurants for Bay Area families.
Starting Sunday, April 23, 2017, the new farmers market hours will be 10 am to 3 pm.
On most Sunday, free cooking demos take place at the CUESA Classroom (adjacent to the info booth at Broadway & Water Street) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
Join them at CUESA’s Jack London Square Farmers Market in Oakland for a Market to Table Cooking Demonstration with Nicolette Manescalchi of A16 featuring the seasonal bounty of the Jack London Square Farmers Market.
Born in Southern California and then moving to Minnesota at the age of ten, Nicolette was raised in a household where the family would cook and eat together every night. Nicolette spent time as a child baking with her mother and cooking traditional Sicilian food with her father.
All demos take place at the CUESA Classroom (in the Palm Plaza at Embarcadero West and Webster Street, adjacent to the Info Booth) and are free and open to the public, with samples and recipes for all.
