We expand our bread skills in this workshop by working on one of our favorite foods: pizza.
Whether thick crust or thin, vegetarian or meat, oven baked or wood-fired, eating the perfect pie can be … life changing! And re-creating your favorite restaurant pie at home has eluded many of the best home chefs. Until now. We will take you on a step-by-step journey to demystify the art of making the perfect dough with that little extra bit of flavor, using a naturally fermented, wild-yeast sourdough starter. You’ll learn every step of the process, from mixing, balling, stretching, shaping, to baking the final product: a deliciously light, crisp bite with serious flavor and chew: the real pizzaiolo deal. Join us!

Stow Lake Boathouse, San Francisco
6PM, 21+
$60
We are excited to continue our cheese fondue pop-up dinners in San Francisco!
In the spirit of the casual and outdoors-oriented fondue “stüblis” of Switzerland, we are happy to announce two pop-up dinners in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, at the beautiful Stow Lake Boathouse (http://stowlakeboathouse.com).
Experience an evening where Swiss tradition meets California creativity!
The ticket price for the evening includes the following:
Wine and beer – beverages will be carefully selected to pair with the fondue
Charcuterie plate (cured meats) highlighting American producers
Green salad with a homemade whole grain mustard vinaigrette
Cheese fondue made with aged raw milk cheeses from Switzerland – each pot of fondue is made by hand and served with country bread from local bakers, boiled potatoes, and pickled vegetables
Housemade Swiss-style dessert and chocolates
Coffee and tea
The purpose of these pop-up dinners is to share our love of cheese fondue made in the traditional Swiss method using five simple, high quality ingredients: aged raw milk cheese, wine, cornstarch, garlic, and kirsch (cherry liqueur).
We also want to share our fondness for the evening itself. The fondue houses or ‘Stüblis‘ in Switzerland are filled with laughter, good conversation, and a true feeling of community. It is our passion to create that same energy and spirit of community here in San Francisco.
There’s a Swiss-German saying about fondue that sums it all up very well – FIGUGEGL: “Fondue isch guet und git e gueti Luune,” meaning “Fondue is good and brings a good mood.”
We look forward to sharing this part of Switzerland with you!
