A “plank owner” is an individual who was a member of the crew of a ship when that ship was placed in commission. Originally, this term applied only to crew members present at the ship’s first commissioning. The origin of the term is the implication that a crew member was around when the ship was being built and commissioned and therefore has bragging rights to the ownership of one of the deck planks in the main deck. The Plank Owners of the Northern California Pirate Festival get special privileges and perks that normal attendees do not! Check out the Plank Owners Club Webpage here for more information!
This event is not a pet friendly event. No animals allowed.
Please peace tie your weapons by using a cord and securing the weapon shut and to your body. No live munitions or working firearms.
I have a Groupon Code How do I reedeem it?
You will need to enter your codes in the promotional code box one at a time. If you have multiple codes you will have to treat each code as a separate transaction- but it will not cost extra. The code you have from groupon is a code that allows access to a specific ticket, it does not offer a discount or you would be paying more. You will need to enter your code in the box that says “enter promotional code” and hit submit. You won’t be able to see the option for your tickets until you hit submit on each code and the page reloads.
Can I just bring my groupon coupon to the event?
Please remember, you must redeem the vouchers online before the event. Our ticket sales team and gate keepers do not have the ability to do it for you.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
You will not be required to show your ID at the gate for admission. It is advisable to have identification on you in case there is an issue that you would like us to resolve. The Northern California Pirate Festival is an all ages event, however the Buccaneers Bash is a bit more salty and so we do not admit anyone under 18 without a parent present.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The NCPF takes place along the waterfront in Vallejo California. The Ferry Terminal to and from San Francisco is located next door to the event. Please check Vallejo Ferry schedules before planning your trip.
Vallejo has been upgrading the parking around the ferry terminal and there is a great deal of paid parking near the event site. If you fancy a walk and free parking you can find street parking around Vallejo if you get to the site early.
What is Parking like?
There is limited street parking available at no cost and city lot parking available for a daily fee. Go to the city parking information page for more information.
What can/can’t I bring to the event?
This event is not pet friendly. The crowds are large and the guns are loud. The sun is also powerful and cars can heat up very quickly. Please leave your animals at home.
Please peace tie your weapons by using a cord and securing the weapon shut and to your body. No live munitions or working firearms.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please contact Kathy Kingman with any ticketing related questions: Kathy@norcalpiratefestival.com
Any other festival related questions may be directed to email@example.com
Is my ticket transferable?
You may give away any unused ticket before the event but you may not transfer the ticket once it is in use (example: two day wristbands are only good for one person.) Plank Owner Club Passes and VIP Passes are non-transferrable.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You may either print your ticket or download your ticket to your smart device. You must have a ticket in one of those formats in order to enter.
This year we will be working with satellite ticket offices. Beginning April 15th you may find general admission tickets and tickets to the Buccaneers Bash at the “Visit Vallejo” office located inside the Vallejo Ferry building. You will be given a ticket at the time of the transaction, please bring it with you to the event. There are no replacements for lost tickets.
What is the refund policy?
The NCPF has a no refund policy. This event is rain or shine. You may upgrade a ticket that has not been used (example, you bought a weekend pass and would like to go to the Buccaneers bash. Pay the extra bit and we will upgrade your pass)
The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?
If your name does not match the name on the account that the ticket was purchased under you will not be able to address any issue should one arise. Only the person who bought the ticket can change anything on the account. However, anyone can enter with a valid ticket.
Does the Plank Owner Membership include admission?
Yes. The plank owner membership comes with one premium pass for each member. Once you purchase your membership you will receive a code that will allow you a discount off a one day admission for your crew. Your membership also allows you to bring a friend and two children into the VIP area with you.
I purchased a plank in a previous year but did not get a discount code. What should I do?
Your active membership will always be renewed at the price you originally paid for it. You must renew every year in order to keep your membership active. You are allowed a one year grace period to keep your membership active-however if you miss more than one year of renewals you will have to purchase a new membership at the current price. If you are an active member and you have not received a code, go to http://www.norcalpiratefestival.com and find the link that allows you to update your email address.
What should I be paying for a Plank Membership?
Charter Members renew for $50. Charter members originally purchased their Planks in 2007.
Foundation Members renew for $70 and became members during the years between 2008 and 2012.
Alliance members are new members and 2013-2015 members who renew at the current rate of $95.
Please Note:Plank Memberships sold at the event will incur a $5 fee per plank purchased. Planks purchased at the event are not guaranteed a gift with the purchase of their plank. Plank Owner Bags will be available at the event while supplies last.
By March 18, 2016 all renewing Plank Members should have received an email with their personalized code to renew and buy discount tickets.
There is no online discount for premium and weekend passes because the online discount is deeper than the plank discount for both passes. At the Gate you will receive your Plank Owner discount by showing your ticket receipt and ID to prove plank ownership. You will receive a %10 discount at the merchandise booth when you show your credentials.
If you are ordering past the deadline of May 27th, 2016 you will not receive a T-Shirt. We will will be including a Plank Owner bag along with your Plank. Memberships bought on site will receive a bag for as long as supplies last. Be sure to print your receipt!

Free Outdoor Movie Night: “Back to the Future”
The New Parkway, Oakland
7:30 PM, All Ages
Bring a lawn chair and blanket, food and drink and even your dog, and join in the parking lot between the New Parkway and Drake’s Dealership (look for the big white screen). This is one of Uptown’s favorite neighborhood events so don’t miss out.
You are welcome to come set up as early as 7:30 pm with the movie starting at right around 9 pm, sunset permitting. All seating is first-come, first-served.
Some refreshments will be available for purchase through Drake’s and the New Parkway’s rolling popcorn cart (cash only) but you are more than welcome to bring your own everything (except alcohol). And bring your friends too.
Back to The Future (1985)
Rev up that DeLorean for yet another timelessly entertaining trip back to the “futuristic” year of 1985, and then the ancient past of the 1950s, as Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and his scientist mentor (Christopher Lloyd) teach the kids all about the evolution of rock ‘n’ roll.
And learn a few valuable lessons themselves in the process. But the main takeaway is that fun movies never age, they only improve with each viewing – particularly when shared with an audience of fellow appreciative fans, old and new.

V Marketplace, Yountville

Classic Autos Cruise into Napa Valley for Father’s Day
V Marketplace celebrates the “art of the driving machine”
The Napa Valley will proudly welcome car connoisseurs from around the Bay Area and beyond as V Marketplace in Yountville, hosts the 26th Annual Father’s Day Invitational Auto Show. Auto entries are by invitation.
From the national champions, to the local favorites, to the one-of-a-kind collector curiosities, more than 150 early and late model autos spanning almost 100 years of production can be seen at this non-competitive, open-class invitational exhibition. Whether nostalgia means rolling down the road in a classic 1928 Model A Phaeton, sliding into the drive-in with a ‘57 Chevy, or cruising the fast lane in a Ferrari, this show-stopping collection presents some of the finest autos to grace the highway in any era and is the perfect gift for Father’s Day!
V Marketplace has also invited local nonprofits to add to the festivities. Firing up their grill, serving delicious sausages and hot dogs, will be the Fire Explorers and the Yountville Fire Department. Manning the booth where cool beverages can be found will be the Native Sons of the Golden West and the Native Daughters of the Golden West. Operation Love will be on site collecting donations to provide care packages to our deployed armed forces stationed in harms way. All proceeds from these sales go directly to the nonprofits.
Make it a Father’s Day weekend escape to Napa Valley! Surrounded by lush gardens, beautiful water features, and meandering cobblestone walkways, V Marketplace, provides a beautiful backdrop for this annual event. Visitors can look forward to a unique variety of distinctive specialty shops, galleries, restaurants, wine tasting, hot air ballooning and Michael Chiarello’s NapaStyle and Bottega Ristorante. The Yountville Trolley will be offering shuttle service free of charge to and from the California Veteran’s Home where additional event parking can be found.
