Art Market San Francisco will return to the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion this spring to celebrate its sixth edition. Following record breaking sales, city-wide partnerships, and attendance of over 25,000 visitors in 2015, the 2016 edition of Art Market San Francisco is pleased to present a significant selection of contemporary and modern artworks from returning Art Market exhibitors and exciting newcomers.
Art Market San Francisco 2016 is delighted to announce a continued partnership with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, comprised of the de Young and the Legion of Honor, the 2016 beneficiary of the Benefit Preview Reception. Working alongside Honorary Chairs Jack Calhoun and Trent Norris, the 2016 Benefit Preview Reception will once again have its own dedicated evening, Wednesday, April 27th, open exclusively for beneficiary ticket buyers. Proceeds from the evening will support the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s New Art Acquisitions Fund.
Classic Movie Night @ The Paramount: Goldfinger

With over 3,000 seats and a meticulously-restored interior, the Paramount offers a true “Movie Palace” experience straight out of the 1930s – with period newsreels, cartoons, previews, live music from the Mighty Wurlitzer organ and the audience participation spinning wheel game of “Dec-O-Win.”
James Bond, Agent 007, is back! His assignment this time is to track millionaire gold smuggler Auric Goldfinger who has hatched a plot to “neutralize” the United States gold reserve at Fort Knox. Goldfinger won’t put up with Bond’s interference with his nefarious plans and unleashes one of the most memorable of all of Agent 007’s adversaries – the mute Korean strongman, Oddjob. Just as unforgettable as the villains are the Bond women – the 24-karat Jill Masterson, and the (unattainable?) Pussy Galore.
Sean Connery’s performance of Agent 007 achieves brutally suave perfection in this, the third Bond film, which set the standard for the entire series and established the hallmarks of the succeeding movies: the action-packed pre-title sequence, the memorable title song, and the incredible gadgets. Bond’s Aston Martin makes its film debut, with its bulletproof windows, front-mounted machine guns, oil slicks, smoke screens, and passenger ejector seat. Goldfinger deservedly took home the Oscar for Special Sound Effects.

Do you like a game of Tag? Do you like Nerf Guns? How about horror movies? Most importantly, how long do you think you’d last during a Zombie Apocalypse?
Try out your skills in a game where you’ll fight for your lives in the live-action game is essentially a glorified game of tag. Be ready to lock and load as a Human or swarm the enemy as a Zombie.
Check out their video tutorial to get the gist of the game. This game is physically demanding and they do not recommend this event for players who require adult supervision.

Arrive on time: The group spends the first 15-20 minutes reviewing the rules and any new variations on the game.
Please read this waiver form carefully and bring a signed copy to the game. Copies will be provided at the game, but they ask for you to bring your own signed copy so we can start the game sooner. You will not be permitted to join in the game if a copy is not received by a moderator.

Mortified stars everyday adults sharing their most embarrassing and real childhood letters, lyrics, journals, home movies and artwork…in front of total strangers. Part comedy, part theater, part therapy.
The largest and longest-running project of its kind, Mortified produces comedic content for the stage, the page, the web, and the radio – check out the Mortified Podcast on Radiotopia!
Participants include a wide range of people, from professional performers (comics, singers, burlesquers) to total amateurs (architects, bakers, candlestick makers) all in the noble pursuit of self-degradation. It’s personal redemption through public humiliation!

How Weird features some of the best electronic music played on some of the world’s most advanced sound technology. Local artists from across the Bay Area will provide the ideal soundtrack for your dancing pleasure. This year, there will be 10 stages of dance music, representing the full spectrum of electronic music, as well as world beat and reggae music. Each stage represents different styles and communities. Together they form one of the most diverse and talented music festivals in the world.
The How Weird Street Faire will again participate in National Dance Week. Join people from across the country in a special dance, and watch performances of many different styles on the Dance Stage next to the center intersection. Celebrate the wonders of dancing, and all the many forms dance takes.

ART ALLEY
Art Alley will showcase the visual arts with live and exhibited artwork, interactive pieces, and local craft vendors. See the extreme creativity that San Francisco is famous for, and participate in the creation of exquisite art. Art Alley will expand again this year, filling all of Tehama Street from 1st to 2nd Streets plus an Art Annex off of 2nd Street. Art Alley features fantastic visionary artists from around the Bay Area. You won’t believe your eyes. For your viewing soundtrack there will be ambient and downtempo music along Art Alley, as well as a dub music stage by Mountain Lion Hi-Fi in the Art Annex.

How Weird is filled with vendors selling unique and designer goods. From clothing to art to jewelry and accessories, you can find interesting things and new styles for the 2016 festival season.

Each entrance will have a shortened presale line for those that get Magic Stickers in advance online. There will be free bike parking at New Montgomery and Natoma Streets. We recommend taking public transportation to the faire. The How Weird Street Faire is located a short walk from Market Street and the Montgomery BART station, as well as Caltrains Station, Transbay Terminal, and many MUNI lines.
LEGENDARY WEIRDNESS
How Weird is a menagerie of attractions, including a world renowned music festival featuring many different styles of dance music, an open air art festival, a unique market of interesting vendors and delicious food, and a platform for performers of every type. The faire is from Noon to 8pm. Get there early to enjoy all of the fun!

Entrances?
Each faire entrance will have a shortened line for presale Magic Sticker buyers. You can pick up the sticker there.
Directions?
The How Weird Street Faire takes place in the heart of the SoMa district of San Francisco. It is centered at Howard & 2nd Streets, a few blocks south of Market Street, and a block east of Yerba Buena Gardens. The coordinates are 37°47’12.4″ N, 122°23’53.7″ W
The faire is near the Montgomery BART station, Transbay Terminal, Caltrain Station, and MUNI. We recommend taking public transportation to the faire. There is also a taxi waiting area at 1st Street and Howard. We recommend arriving early, the faire starts at Noon.
Car parking?
If you drive, it can be hard to find parking. For short stays, you can go to the parking garage at 5th & Mission Streets.
Bike parking?
This year there will be self-service bike parking on Natoma Street, with an entrance on New Montgomery Street. Park your bike before entering the faire. Please lock your bike over the top of the barricades, not on the side. There will be security watching the bikes.
UFO parking?
The designated Flyer Saucer landing zone is at 37°47’16.62″N, 122°23’53.92″W
Handicapped accessible?
Yes, the faire is handicapped accessible. It is at street level.
Ages?
How Weird is a place where all are welcome. The faire is open to all ages, but we recommend ear plugs or headphones for children.
Pets?
We strongly discourage bringing pets to How Weird, because of the large crowds and loud noise.
What can’t I bring to the event?
Glass bottles are not allowed, nor are weapons. Bags and people may be searched going into the faire.
What can I bring to the event?
Smiles, a colorful costume, and an open mind.
Are costumes required?
Yes, they are. You can go as yourself, or go as someone else. We recommend something colorful, creative, fun, and weird. Weird is always in style. Magic Stickers are the perfect compliment to every costume.
Are there ins and outs?
Yes, there are. And if you have a Magic Sticker, it will make it easier to come back in the faire.
What time should I arrive?
Arrive at Noon. The faire starts at noon, and you don’t want to miss any of the fun. The music will also start at noon. And the vendors will be open at noon. Even Art Alley will be shining at noon.
Lost and found?
Lost and Found is located in the Info Booth, where you will also find answers to all of your faire questions.
The Presidio, San Francisco

Off the Grid hosts a full season of Picnic at the Presidio from 11 am to 4 pm every Sunday through the fall at the Main Parade Ground Lawn.
Get ready for yummy offerings available for purchase from San Francisco’s favorite eateries and food trucks, a lively atmosphere and picnics on the lawn with a view of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Though we don’t know the details for 2016 yet; in past years, they’ve offered Mimosa and Bloody Mary drink kits, an onsite DJ, classic picnic amenities like bocce ball, as well as game rentals and activities from Sports Basement. Blankets and Adirondack chairs are available to rent for a complete picnic experience.
