A musical comedy that blends murder and intrigue with way too many food metaphors, Flavor of Death: A Guy Fieri Musical pits the good people of San Francisco against an evil force working to thwart truth, science and the rule of law.

Flavor of Death: A Guy Fieri Musical is the latest production from Funny But Mean, a San Francisco comedy troupe that has performed shows at the Exit Theater, Marine’s Memorial Theater, The Magic Theater, as well as New York’s Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater and the Improv Cafe.

The cast features local theater veterans Melissa Quine, Christopher Pflueger, Britt Lauer, Brady Woolery, Cole Alexander Smith, and Lena Mullins. Directed by Richard Ciccarone and features original music composed by Stephanie Brown.







 

PROXY Spring Series: Operation Avalanche

Presented by HERE FOR NOW, the PROXY Spring Series features new independent film and one-of-a-kind collaborations with pioneering arts institutions. The six, free, Friday evening film screenings begin at 7:45 pm with “doors” opening at 7:00 pm. Start: Justin Herman Plaza, 11:00AM End: Civic Center Plaza A rally with invited speakers will start the event at 11:00AM in Justin Herman Plaza. After the rally at approximately 12:30PM, we will march down Market street to Civic Center Plaza, ending with a Fair to celebrate science.

All segments of the event will be assisted by a team of volunteers as well as the San Francisco Emergency Services to ensure safety of all attendees. Water and sanitation stations will be provided as well as accessible seating and transportation as needed. If you would like to attend the March For Science – San Francisco and will need assistance, please contact us in advance at logistics@marchforsciencesf.com. Sign making is encouraged, though we ask you to keep this event “family friendly”.

 

The March for Science – San Francisco celebrates public discovery, understanding, and distribution of scientific knowledge as crucial to the freedom, success, health, and safety of life on this planet.
