We offer guarantees on every placement that we make, to ensure satisfaction both for our candidates and our clients, and Georgia is a great example of how that benefits everyone!
Q: What is your name? A: Marie L
Q: How did you originally hear about The Job Shop? A: My friend’s aunt is an HR professional who worked with Jeanmarie Murphy and recommended her.
Q: Can you tell us a little about the permanent position you’ve recently been hired into? Are you excited about it? A: I was placed as a Corporate Paralegal at a premier law firm in Palo Alto. I am very excited about the position! It’s a great opportunity at a prestigious firm.
Q: What do you think most contributed to your success in achieving a permanent position? A: Working with Jeanmarie. Her personal connections and calls to firm recruiters were crucial in getting me in the door. The best resume in the world can’t do anything for you if no one looks at it.
Q: Do you have any tips for readers hoping to duplicate your success? A: You and your recruiter are on the same team. Don’t be afraid to ask questions – you can really benefit from their experience and knowledge of the industry.
Q: What did you find most helpful about working with The Job Shop? A: Jeanmarie was very sensitive and understanding when I, like many job seekers who are currently employed, couldn’t always speak freely on the phone, or often had to communicate by email.
Q: What was most challenging about your job search, and how did you overcome it? A: Looking for a job in the Bay Area feels like looking for a home – you need to constantly monitor the market, and respond quickly. This can be tough when you’re working full time, but like anything else, if you communicate your situation in advance, it can work.
Q: Anything else you’d like to add about your experience? A: I never thought I would be placed at a global-wide leading firm, but with Jeanmarie’s encouragement and support – here I am. Thank you Jeanmarie!
Congratulations on your position Marie, and good luck in the future!
