ourselves in taking a personal approach with each client and candidate
to guarantee a successful partnership.
We search The Bay Area to ensure
that we have found the best of the best. And as personal referrals
often make the best candidates, we have a great referral system
utilizing our most successful placements. In 2007/08 we placed over
130 candidates and 58% of those candidates were personal referrals.
Of the candidates we send out, over 60% are referrals.
We test our candidates
We determine our candidates' computer skills by testing on all commonly
used Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
and more. We provide on-site written math, spelling and grammar
testing as part of our screening process and are happy to provide
you with individual test scores. Our tutorials help candidates further
their computer skills and we've seen abilities and test scores increase
after as little as one tutorial session.
A candidate or a temp from The Job
Shop is an employee that we are proud to present and to have represent
us. Our standards have earned us the privilege of working with a
diverse group of highly regarded companies throughout the Bay Area.
realize that interviews and reference checks provide tools to make
the perfect fit, but sometimes the candidate doesn't work out on
the job. For this reason, The Job Shop guarantees its direct hire
placements with a 100% refund or credit if the employee leaves or
is terminated during the first sixty days of employment.
Many clients choose our Temp-to-Hire services, that is temping
a candidate prior to a direct hire. We find Temp-to-Hire arrangements
provide a great "test drive" for both the clients and the candidates.
The guarantee for a Temp-to-Hire candidate will be the same as a
direct hire (sixty days) and starts the first day as a temporary
Direct Hire Placement Fees
For direct hire full-time placements, the fee will range from
15 - 20%.
To validate your guarantee, payment of the fee is due to The
Job Shop within fourteen days of the invoice date. We will screen,
test, and send our candidates to your company to be considered for
a particular job order. If you hire the candidate for that position
or another within your company, or refer that person to another
company, within one year starting from the date The Job Shop presents
the candidate to you, the fee as described above will apply.
